Soulless is an investigation into the process of reproducing highly sensitive images using purely technical tools, following the tradition of religious paintings that repeatedly depict the same scene. As an approach to this phenomenon, the author presents photographs that hold emotional significance for them alongside an AI-generated copy, created solely from technical and textual descriptions (prompts), aiming to determine whether the audience can perceive a difference between the original image and the soulless copy.
